Will the Obama administration really impact the building industry? Jerry Yudelson, principal of Yudelson Associates predicts there will be an abundance of funds pushed into Green Building, along with mandated Green Building iniatives in up to 35 states within four years. It looks like they’re getting off on the right foot and that they will implement programs that have a positive effect on the housing industry. As with everything else though, only time will tell.

Creating jobs in the green energy sector is the centerpiece of Obama’s plan to revitalize the stagnant American economy. The package he hopes to sign into law by mid-February, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan, calls for $54 billion to double production of alternative energy, and aims to create half a million new jobs in the industry.
