Working with Schiavi [Home Builders] through the whole process of getting our house was an overall excellent experience. When we were initially shopping around at all of the Manufactured home options, we quickly saw there is a difference between the levels of service you can expect going from one dealer to the next. We settled on working with Schiavi as they were by far the easiest and most professional of the companies we visited. This is a big decision in anyone's life and we wanted to be comfortable with the people responsible for it.
During the initial sales period Schiavi Home [Builders] was very helpful in going over all the possible options with us, and there are a ton, to figure what we really wanted to do. We already had a basic knowledge of what was offered, and what style of house we were looking for, but they really helped flesh out all the details. Really, working with Schiavi and the manufacturer lets you build almost anything you can think of. Move a wall here, add something there, doesn't matter as long as it's in reason they can do it for you. The initial planning and figuring out what we wanted was really rewarding.
We were also on a really tight timeframe, planning really started in late September, and by the time all was said in done we had our house delivered in early December!! The tightness of the schedule and lining up all the pieces took a lot of coordination between us, Schiavi’s and the manufacturer, but all parties involved with getting the house delivered really stepped up and everything fell into place, including a couple inches of snow that could have been trouble, but wasn't thankfully enough.
During the next phase of buttoning up the house and Schiavi [Home Builder] finishing what they needed to their crews did an excellent job… During this time we found several items from the manufacturer that needed to be address and the crew from Schiavi were very good at addressing any concerns we have and made sure we got what we needed and expected.
Overall the process went incredibly smoothly, probably smoother than it should have given the timeline we were on and also the time of year we were trying to get everything done in! In the end we are very happy with our choice of working with Schiavi [Home Builders] and letting them help guide us through this big life changing event. And of course we are happy with the house as well and look forward to many a happy year in it!
